Nearly there!

Well hello all! Only 20 some days left of school! Yay! I have a job at Hollywood Video now, the work is boring and mindless, but hey I get 6 bucks an hour to shelve videos, plus the free rentals are always a bonus. I'm getting ready to watch Marie Antionette :) Yeah, it's way early in the a.m. but oh well, can't really sleep anyway. I got to see Steve (aka Danny/Daniel MacDougall), if only for a brief few minutes, then I headed off to buy some work appropriate shoes at Target and proceeded to be there until 12:30, bleh. Oh well, same regiment tomorrow too... hooray. It's closing weekend on the play and I'm excited because all is coming to a close and then I will have the free schedule I have been dreaming of! :) Ok enough said, I want this high school crap to be over, end of story. Graduation here I come!

It's been a year. Did you guys miss me? I missed my xanga and it's cool pouring rain picture, in fact it's raining outside right now. Dave just left, we cuddled on the bean bag and watched Blood Diamond, very good and intense film. I'm finally a senior in high school and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. YES! As of now,  life is good, I can't complain, I'm off to college soon, and life is slowly unfolding beneath my feet. Here I go!

college.

This account brings back so many memories. Nostalgia. -sigh.- Right now however, I'm getting a taste of the college life, and it is good. This is the college for me. Hollins University, that is. All girls... but so what. Lots of good classes, lots of great opportunities, and all the freedom a girl could want. Downtown 15 mintues away and the Blue Ridge mountains right in your own backyard. A serene place. Quiet and not too out of the way. Lots of cool people to meet and lots of new friends to make. I'll be sad to leave. But I'll be coming back. Hopefully to some old faces. I've always wanted to go to college, but recently I was questioning.... do I really want to go to another 4 years of school? But this, this isn't school. Taking classes you're actually interested in doesn't seem like school. It's an enjoyable experience. If you get the chance I suggest doing a summer program for the college of your choice. It lets you get the feel of how things would be like at that school. I'll see you guys soon and tell you all about it! <3

Weary.

My soul sighs with a weariness that I just realized has been weighing me down all year.

Finally the end can be seen and my heart pounds.

Just a few more trivial tasks left to complete.

Almost there. Just a few more steps.

I know this sounds strange because only a few short months later I will be back.

Back to the mundane.

Back to school.

And the weariness resumes.

Blah! School is raking on the inside of my skull with sharp fingernails. I want to scream! Soon this year will be over. Another year yet to face but it seems less daunting than the last. College looms ever closer and I feel the eager anticipation welling. Free at last. So many plans to make. One can hardly have enough time. The winter slowly begins to recede and it makes me sad. No more lonely gray days to give me my poetic inspiration... oh well. Next year can't come soon enough. Life continues mundanely on and I sit patiently.
